Who we are

Ohas is a trading name of Ohas Health Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17409191) with its registered office at Unit 5, Aylesford Court, Works Road, Letchworth Garden City SG6 1LP. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website, except where we say otherwise in the “Who we share your data with” section below.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect the details you give us: your name and email address.

When you visit this website our hosting provider automatically records limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.

We also use cookies and similar technologies (including tags, pixels and local storage) to understand how the site is used and to measure and target our advertising. Some of these identify your device and can be used to build a profile of your activity across other websites and apps. You control these through our cookie banner. See the “Cookies and similar technologies” section below for detail.

We do not collect any health information through this website.

How we use your data and why we are allowed to

To send you emails about Ohas

When you join the waitlist we will email you with updates about Ohas, early access to our services, and health content from us. Our lawful basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and Regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003), which you give by signing up. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us at the address above.

To run and protect this website

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in keeping the site secure and working properly. The cookies we use for this purpose are strictly necessary and do not require your consent.

To understand how the site is used and to advertise our services

We use analytics and advertising cookies to see how people find and move through the site, to measure how our advertising performs, and to show you Ohas advertising on other platforms. Our lawful basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003). You can withdraw consent at any time, as described below.

We do not sell your personal data. We do share limited data with advertising platforms so that we can measure and target our own advertising, as set out below.

A cookie is a small file placed on your device. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage. We refer to all of these as cookies in this notice.

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work, to keep it secure, or to provide something you have asked us for. They are set without your consent because the site cannot do those things without them.

Analytics

These help us understand how people use the site so that we can improve it.

Advertising

These allow us and our advertising partners to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you Ohas advertising on other websites, apps and platforms. They may involve your data being shared with those platforms.

ohas_referral

Set by us. Strictly necessary. Stored only if you arrive on a link shared by someone else, and only so that we can credit your sign up to them. Held in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab.

Set by Viral Loops. Strictly necessary. Only written after you join the waiting list, and only so that we can give you your own referral link and credit anyone who joins through it. Held in your browser’s local storage until you clear it.

Set by Google Analytics. Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count visits and understand how the site is used. Expires after 2 years.

Set by Google Analytics. Analytics. Maintains your session so that visits are measured accurately. Expires after 2 years.

_fbp

Set by Meta. Advertising. Identifies your browser so that we can measure the performance of our Meta advertising and show you Ohas advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Expires after 3 months.

_fbc

Set by Meta. Advertising. Records that you arrived from a Meta advert so that we can measure which adverts lead to sign ups. Only set if you reach the site by clicking one of our adverts. Expires after 3 months.

_gcl_au

Set by Google. Advertising. Measures which of our Google adverts led to a visit or sign up. Expires after 3 months.

When you first visit the site you will see a cookie banner. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only set if you accept them. You can accept them or decline them, and the two choices sit side by side — neither is harder to reach than the other.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookies” link in the bottom left of any page on this site, which brings the banner back. Withdrawing is a single press, no harder than agreeing was, and it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although this may affect how the site works.

Who we share your data with

Service providers acting on our behalf

We use trusted providers who process data on our instructions only, including website hosting, analytics, email and customer relationship management providers, and Viral Loops, who run our referral programme. They are contractually required to protect your data and cannot use it for their own purposes. We may also share your data within our corporate group where needed to administer our services.

If you join the waiting list, we share your email address with Viral Loops so that they can issue your referral link and record who referred you. They do this on our instructions only.

Advertising platforms

If you accept advertising cookies, we share limited data with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Google Ireland Limited so that we can measure and target our advertising. For some of these services, the platforms do not act solely on our instructions. Meta acts as a joint controller with us for certain of its business tools, which means we are jointly responsible for parts of that processing, and Meta also uses data for its own purposes under its own terms. Google acts as our processor for analytics and, for some of its advertising products, as a separate controller. You can read how these platforms use data in their own privacy policies at facebook.com/privacy/policy and policies.google.com/privacy.

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as a UK adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep your data

We keep your waitlist details until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after our last contact with you, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep a minimal record of your email address on our suppression list so we do not contact you again.

Cookies last for different periods depending on their purpose. The expiry period for each cookie is set out in the “Cookies and similar technologies” section above.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@ohashealth.com. Where a platform acts as a joint or separate controller, you can also exercise your rights directly with them using the links above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern with you first.

Children

This website and the waitlist are not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example when we launch our full services. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
